Bread you can actually trust.

Bringing real bread back to upstate South Carolina. Long-fermented sourdough made with organic ingredients, baked fresh in Pickens, SC. Available at 30+ locations across upstate South Carolina — and at your local farmers market every week.

The problem

Why is good bread so hard to find?

You've stood in the bread aisle and read the label. You've bought the loaf that said 'artisan' and wondered why it felt just like everything else. You've maybe given up on bread altogether because your body just doesn't do well with it. Real bread — bread made slowly, with real ingredients, by real hands — shouldn't be this hard to find.

You're not asking for a lot. You just want bread you can trust.

The promise

Imagine setting a loaf on your table and not having a single question about it.

No ingredient list to decode. No wondering if the fermentation was real or just a label. No compromise. Just bread that tastes the way bread is supposed to taste — and that you feel good about feeding your family.

That's what we're here for.

How we bake

We go back to the way bread was always supposed to be made.

At Daily Bread, every loaf starts with Scarlett — our sourdough starter who's been going since the very beginning — and a minimum of 36 hours of fermentation. We use organic ingredients. We bake by hand. And if a loaf doesn't meet the standard, it doesn't leave the bakery.

That's not a marketing line. That's just how we do it.

The process

The process

Minimum 36-hour long fermentation — every single loaf. The slow fermentation is what makes traditionally made sourdough different, and we don't cut it short to move faster.

The ingredients

The ingredients

Organic flour. Water. Salt. Scarlett. We use organic ingredients because what goes into the bread is just as important as how it's made.

The standard

The standard

Not every loaf ships. If it doesn't make the cut, it doesn't go to a customer — it goes to Cafe Connections, a local ministry here in Pickens. Every loaf that reaches your table earned its place there.

Our story

Daily Bread started with a problem Lynn lived for eight years.

Lynn, founder of Daily Bread Sourdough

Lynn spent eight years gluten-free. Not by preference — because most bread made her sick, and she couldn't find traditionally made sourdough that was clean enough, real enough, or digestible enough to trust. So she baked her first loaves in May 2022. By September, she had a bakery. What started as her solution became a community's source — and it's still growing.

Who it's for

Daily Bread isn't for everyone. Here's who it's for.

It's for the person who reads labels and still isn't sure what they're eating. It's for the family that wants to know where their food came from. It's for the customer who's been told they can't eat bread — and isn't ready to accept that forever. It's for anyone who's tired of paying for artisan bread that isn't. Daily Bread is made with organic ingredients, fermented for a minimum of 36 hours, and held to a standard that means only the right loaves reach you. If that's what you've been looking for — you found it.
